Noreen Ryan, EWLP is Vice President at First Logistics, a third party asset based provider of Warehousing and Transportation Services with multiple locations headquartered in Alsip, Illinois. Her 30+ year background includes positions in general operational management at a manufacturing company as well as corporate staff, sales and marketing and general operations management positions at several global supply chain service providers and public warehouses in Director and Vice President positions. Her focus is on Operations, Technology, Administration and Customer Relationships, In 2017, Ryan earned the IWLA’s Executive Warehouse Logistics Professional status (EWLP). She is the first woman to achieve this prestigious professional designation. She is past chair of the IWLA’s Technology and Operations Conference-2017 & 2018. Ryan is currently Vice President of Education for the Chicago Chapter of the Materials Handling & Management Society where she has been a board member since 2005. Recently appointed as Committee Chairman for CSCMP’s Circle of Excellence Committee, Ms. Ryan recruited and will be leading the Masters (long term member volunteers) in the development of the programs to complete the “circle” of membership lifecycle. Ms. Ryan holds a Strategic Advisory position for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, where she has also served as Regional Advisor and Chicago Roundtable President. Currently Ryan is the CSCMP Chicago Roundtable’s Historian. Ryan served on the Board of Directors of the Warehousing Education and Research Council, and as Chair for their Annual Conference, and on volunteered on several different WERC national committees. She also serves as a Professional Advisor for undergrad students focused on Supply Chain, Logistics and General Management at DePaul University in Chicago. Ryan has a BA in Business Administration from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois and has attended graduate level courses at the University of South Florida and numerous association sponsored continuing education programs. Ms. Ryan has been a speaker at DePaul University, CSCMP, WERC, Distribution Computer Expo, Parcel Forum, ID Expo, APICS, and user meetings for software and hardware, and as an instructor/speaker/presenter at the IWLA on topics such as Inventory Control, Operational Planning, and CTPAT, the Government/Private Sector voluntary supply chain security program led by US Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection called Customs –Trade Partnership Against Terrorism.
