Jim Metzler, VP, Ashton, Metzler & Associates
At the beginning of his career, Jim Metzler worked for companies including the National Security Agency, AT&T, NYNEX, Prime Computer, Digital Equipment Corporation, and the Yankee Group. His responsibilities included the development of systems software, mathematical modelling of computer networks, development of telco network services, product management for networking products, and running enterprise network organizations. Starting in the late 1990s, Jim has run his own company that focuses on helping Global 2000 companies successfully negotiate technology transitions. Jim earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Boston University. He was on the faculty of Drew University, Bentley University and Northeastern University.
