Elysia Lock, Solutions Architect, Flux7, an NTT Data Company
Elysia Lock is a certified AWS Solutions Architect with Flux7, an NTT DATA Company, where she analyzes and designs cloud-based systems for enterprises. She has a passion for automation and streamlined solution designs with 13 years of experience building and testing a wide variety of software, including web, IoT, ETL, desktop, and mobile applications, both as a manager and individual contributor. Elysia is looking forward to doing some hands-on AI projects in the coming year.
In addition to loving hands on-technical work, Elysia also has a passion for thought leadership around diversity in technology and increasing the number of qualified engineers in the pipeline. She has volunteered with Hour of Code, Citizen Schools, Women Who Code, and ChickTech to help educate women and at-risk youth on opportunities and skills needed in tech jobs. Elysia also mentored many women professionally via women in tech initiatives at Slalom and Emmi, and continues to mentor career-changers and recent graduates. She loves to write, craft, draw, swim, and go on adventures with her preschooler when she isn’t in front of her laptop.
Elysia has completed a number of speaking engagements in recent years, both at conferences and smaller meetup-style events. Highlights include presenting at The Grace Hopper Celebration, Selenium Conference, THAT Conference, Women Who Code Connect, ChickTech ACT-W, and the QUEST conference.
