CASE STUDY: Today, we are walking, talking, data-generating engines. Consider this: By 2025, an average connected person anywhere in the world will interact with connected devices nearly 4,800 times per day — basically, one interaction every 18 seconds. But data isn't created equally. And data can be quite different. It's critical to understand that data created by embedded devices such as machine-to-machine and IoT are much different than what your laptop might create. This is why it's so critical to understand data context, how to control and leverage this data, and where security applies.

In this session, we will discuss the connected future and examine various types of data sources, ways that organizations are controlling all of this data, and where security best practices can be applied. Specifically, we'll cover:
• The state of the industry: A data perspective
• The connected future: You're in it already
• Understanding and managing data sources
• Integrating control and security best practices
• Final thoughts and a look to the future
