Every hiring manager wants someone who will "hit the ground running." What we don't often think about in the technology field at large is where these people come from, how they learned their skills. This session will address some myths and ideas on technology talent, such as buying hardware or systems as a substitute for hiring skilled people, and "if you train them, you will lose them." The session will also look at nontraditional ways to access expertise.

How to:
Grow your own (train your own people)
Buy a la carte (use consultants)
Consume prepackaged (vendor hardware (+ services?))
Use the Force (leverage social media, communities, etc.)
