Gartner has predicted that there will be over 20 billion connected things by the year 2020. With technology developing at a rate like never before, the infrastructure needed to support the rapid adoption of new devices has never been more important. Additionally, user expectations are higher than ever, and any latency caused by networks running on antiquated infrastructures will fail to meet the needs of the modern consumer. Due to these converging factors, digital transformation has become a critical mission for the enterprise or companies that aren't able to adapt inevitably run the risk of being left behind.

In this session, Will Hughs will discuss the necessary steps to building an effective and future-ready infrastructure across your business. By outlining key indicators and integral processes, he will provide guidance on best practices for a successful digital transformation. For example, he will explain the importance of things such as improving existing networks through fiber-optic connections that enable enterprises to deliver low latency, reliable performance delivered by robust technologies. Will will also highlight the potential benefits of these changes, such as building a mobile workforce and generating a "total communications" approach to easily manage the many wireless, wired and cloud-based communications tools that make up an enterprise.
