Studies have suggested that most headline-worthy security incidents could have been mitigated by basic information security hygiene. Unfortunately, most infosec hygiene activities are neither intellectually stimulating nor easily solved by newest whiz-bang technologies. Instead they require integration within operational practices, processes, and procedures, which then can often be supported by technology for acceleration or automation. Infosec hygiene does require diligent maintenance; but if you fail to do that maintenance you might face the far greater challenges of post-incident remediation and recovery.
In this session, learn what five elements of security hygiene most materially benefit an organization’s defensive posture, and how to maintain them most efficiently with the fewest headaches.
